BJP Prepares to Unveil Second List, Crucial Discussions for Seats in Gujarat and Maharashtra

As the upcoming Lok Sabha elections approach, political party meetings are ramping up. Following the release of its initial list, the BJP is now gearing up to deploy the sequel. Insider sources reveal that the BJP Central Election Committee is set to convene Monday evening, where discussions will ensue regarding candidates for the remaining Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Telangana.

BJP Core Group Meeting Held Late Saturday Night

The strategic discourse for candidate nomination concerning the Lok Sabha seats in Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Telangana sparked a three-day BJP core group meeting streak. The session held late Saturday night at the BJP headquarters in Delhi saw the participation of JP Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Gujarat's CM Bhupendra Patel, Gujarat BJP chief CR Patil, MP CM Mohan Yadav, along with BJP leaders from Telangana.

Election Alliance Forged in Andhra Pradesh with TDP

In a bid to bolster its Southern front, the BJP has finalized seat-sharing deals forming alliances with Chandrababu Naidu's party TDP and Jan Sena in Andhra Pradesh. The BJP plans to contest 8 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra, with TDP contending the balance.

Prior to this, on March 2nd, the BJP announced candidates for 195 seats across 16 states and 2 Union Territories for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. The BJP's inaugural list included names like PM Narendra Modi and 34 ministers.

Candidates Disclosed for 195 Lok Sabha Seats

The BJP's first list has names for diverse seats: 51 from Uttar Pradesh, 20 from West Bengal, 24 from Madhya Pradesh, among others. The list features 28 women, 27 Scheduled Tribes, 18 Scheduled Castes, 57 from the OBC community, and 47 youthful leaders entrusted with Lok Sabha election tickets.
