FIITJEE, once a premier institute for engineering preparation, is closing its centers across various cities. Following the shutdown of centers in Noida and Ghaziabad, confusion reigns among parents and students. It's exam time, causing distress among children unsure of their next steps. Parents worry about their children's future, despite paying hefty fees.
With FIITJEE's Noida center closed, some parents shared with Aaj Tak's team that they were advised to enroll their children at Aakash Institute for course completion. This has led to widespread speculation about a potential merger between FIITJEE and Aakash. Questions arose about additional costs if their children transition to Aakash. Today, we posed these queries to Aakash Institute's MD and CEO, Deepak Mehrotra. Aakash recently launched a new program, INVICTUS, especially for engineering.

: Is there any agreement or merger between FIITJEE and Aakash? How can FIITJEE students study at Aakash?
Answer
: We have no agreement or merger plans with FIITJEE. We welcome all students, offering some concessions to parents’ requests, but no deal with FIITJEE exists.

: How many FIITJEE teachers have joined Aakash in recent months?
Answer
: We just launched a separate program focusing on engineering. We've been preparing this for several months and have recruited many teachers, including some from FIITJEE and other institutes. We needed about 500 teachers for the new program, starting with only 130, and hired others externally.

: No connection exists between these events. We've been planning our engineering program for months. Admittedly, their closure somewhat benefits us.

: I cannot comment on another company's internal matters.
It's noteworthy that following issues in Delhi-NCR and Jharkhand, the FIITJEE center in Bhopal was sealed. Police have organized three teams in search of culprits, including aid from Madhya Pradesh. The abrupt closure has prompted parents to protest, fearing for their children’s futures. Students are stressed about upcoming exams. Parents consider taking legal steps to safeguard their children’s education and financial investments. Police officers are stationed outside the institute.
