Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk's father, Errol Musk, is currently in Russia. He traveled directly from India to the capital city of Moscow. His visit coincides with a tumultuous period in the relationship between his son, Musk, and President Donald Trump, with Russia appearing to step into a mediation role.

In this Trump-Musk conflict, Russia is eager to mediate. Initially, Russia offered Musk political asylum, and now they are welcoming Elon Musk's father, Errol Musk, with great hospitality during his stay.

In this backdrop of tension, Russia made a surprising statement. President Putin announced, should Elon Musk seek asylum, Russia is ready to accommodate him. Dmitry Novikov, Deputy Chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the Russian Parliament, expressed that Russia would offer Musk asylum if necessary.

In Moscow, Errol Musk praised Russian President Putin, calling him an impressive figure. Errol remarked that Putin has proven to be quite influential. When asked outside the

what he would ask the Russian President if given the chance, Errol humbly stated he isn't yet in a position to question Putin but admired Russia's significant improvements over the years due to effective leadership. He expressed interest in learning leadership skills from Putin.

Regarding the widely discussed Trump-Musk dispute, Elon's father, Errol, commented that the tension has escalated between the two for quite some time, likening their clash to a spousal spat, suggesting reconciliation is inevitable.

Errol also acknowledged that Elon erred by openly challenging Trump, believing reconciliation will occur soon, with Trump holding the upper hand due to his presidency.

Errol's visit and statements are viewed by some analysts as an opportunity for Russia to portray the Trump administration as weakened, while attempting to sway Musk to their side.

It's important to note the ongoing dispute between Donald Trump’s administration and Musk over the 'One Big Beautiful Bill,' aiming to remove tax credits on electric vehicle purchases that were initially provided by Biden's administration. Trump seeks to eliminate the $7,500 tax credit on new EV purchases, affecting Musk's Tesla directly.

There’s also the matter of Musk wanting Jared Isaacman as an Administrator at NASA—a recommendation Trump ignored. Musk believed Isaacman's leadership would benefit his company SpaceX.

Trump assigned Musk responsibility of cutting government expenditures through DOGE—a role resulting in massive layoffs of government employees, damaging Musk’s reputation as many assumed he was axing jobs at his discretion.
