In a heartfelt gesture, actor Vijay met privately with the families of those who lost their lives in the Chennai stampede tragedy. During the meeting, he extended his apologies to the grieving families. Overwhelmed by emotion as he saw the children's photos, Vijay could not hold back his tears. The meeting with the affected families was kept entirely confidential.
Vijay assured the families that he would be there for them like a family member, promising to attend to their every need. The actor guaranteed that no family would face any shortage or difficulty.
According to sources, Vijay’s party, Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), made special arrangements at a resort in Mahabalipuram for the meeting with the victim's families.
The party reportedly booked around 50 rooms to facilitate this meeting, aiming for Vijay to personally console each affected family. Special buses were also arranged by the party for the families to easily reach Mahabalipuram. Media and party workers were not allowed access to the program.
Special Bus Arrangements Made
A family member of a victim from Karur shared, 'Special bus arrangements have been made for us to reach the event location. Many of us are going.'
Stampede Resulted in 41 Deaths
The stampede incident occurred during a rally by TVK leader on September 27, leading to the unfortunate deaths of 41 individuals and injuring over 60 others. Most victims were civilians who had come to attend Vijay's rally. Following this tragedy, the authorities ordered an investigation.
