The recent unveiling of documents associated with American financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein has once again sparked global commotion. The network-related files, known as the 'Epstein Files', include the names and photos of several high-profile figures. Recently, the U.S. Justice Department (DOJ) released some documents, but controversy has intensified due to the incomplete release of the Epstein Files.
Under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, the U.S. Congress set a deadline of December 19, 2025, for the DOJ to release all documents. However, only a partial release was provided, including thousands of pages and hundreds of images. Many of these pages, containing police statements, investigation reports, and photos, were redacted. More than 550 pages were redacted in the documents released on Friday, reportedly to protect the victims' identities.
On Sunday, when questioned about the staggered release of documents, U.S. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanch stated that all files would be released gradually, including those related to Trump.
The DOJ has announced that more documents will be released in the coming weeks. Despite missing the deadline and the disappearance of some files from the DOJ website, controversy has escalated. American lawmakers have threatened Attorney General Pamela Bondi with contempt of Congress.
Several famous names have emerged from the Epstein Files so far, although no 'client list' or major revelations have been found. The released documents include emails, photos, and records. The names included in the recent document release are:
Bill Clinton (Former U.S. President)-
Mentioned in photos and mentions include 28 trips on Epstein's jet.
Donald Trump (U.S. President)-
Mentioned in photos and emails, but no accusations, and some files are deleted.
Michael Jackson (Singer)-

Court documents suggest that Jeffrey Epstein allegedly introduced Donald Trump to a 14-year-old girl. According to court records, Epstein allegedly introduced the girl to Trump at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida during the 1990s.
During this alleged meeting, Epstein reportedly nudged Trump and pointed at the girl with a humorous gesture, asking, 'Isn't she nice?'
According to a lawsuit filed against Epstein's estate and Ghislaine Maxwell in 2020, Trump reportedly smiled and nodded in agreement. The documents state that both laughed, while the girl standing there felt uncomfortable but was too young at the time to understand why they were laughing.

According to a BBC report, the victim alleges that Epstein exploited her for years by manipulating her trust. However, the petition filed in court does not make any allegations against Trump.
White House spokesperson Abigail Jackson commented that the Trump administration is 'the most transparent administration in history.' She stated that the Trump administration released thousands of pages of documents, cooperated with House Oversight Committee subpoena requests, and that Trump called for investigations of Epstein's Democratic friends, which the Democrats never pursued. She mentioned the Democrats could never do as much for the victims.
Of the thousands of files released on Friday, mentions of the President are minimal. Some pictures show him, but his involvement is said to be extremely limited. One such image was removed on Saturday but was reinstated 24 hours later as controversy escalated.
Many more pages of the Epstein Files are yet to be released. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanch stated that 'many millions' of pages are still under review and pending public release.
The U.S. President has previously stated that he had a friendship with Epstein for years but that their relationship soured around 2004, years before Epstein's first arrest. Trump continually denies any involvement in Epstein's alleged wrongdoings.
Trump's administration has been accused of withholding the full release of the files, sparking suspicion of a cover-up. Trump signed the act mandating the release of Epstein Files, but the DOJ's delays led the opposition to claim that Trump is concealing highly sensitive content related to him within the files.
The friendship between Epstein and Trump in past (photos at Mar-a-Lago) and Trump's mention in emails contributes to this claim. Republicans assert that Trump helped send Epstein to jail and assisted the victims, while Democrats argue that he hides sensitive details.
