Amid suspense about Maharashtra’s next Chief Minister, NCP Chief Ajit Pawar has arrived in Delhi to join the much-anticipated NDA meeting. It is reported that the three Mahayuti leaders, namely Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde, and Ajit Pawar, will meet with Home Minister Amit Shah today. There is a strong possibility that the CM face will be finalized during this meeting.

Earlier, while speaking with reporters, Ajit Pawar thanked the NCP workers. He stated that they deliberated on how to move forward in every state, seize power in local bodies, and empower women and youth. During the Lok Sabha period, they did not receive much support, but they did not lose hope and worked hard to make a strong impact in the Assembly.

Dismissing the claims of the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) regarding EVMs, he remarked that there is no truth in these allegations. He quipped before the NDA meeting in Delhi, "When they won more seats in the Lok Sabha, EVMs were fine for them. The outcomes are different in Assembly elections, hence they blame the EVMs. Opposition parties gained power in states like Punjab, Telangana, and Karnataka."

'No Discussion on CM Before Elections'

Regarding who will be the CM, he mentioned that they never discussed this before the elections. Their first priority was to come to power. They did not discuss the CM’s name earlier because it was seen that this could harm their electoral prospects. Now he will meet with the BJP leadership and then they will decide.

The Suspense over Maharashtra's CM Continues

The suspense over who will become Maharashtra's CM continues, but all three parties have shown unity and maintained silence on the matter. While BJP is likely to get the Chief Minister position, its two allies are expected to retain two deputy positions, continuing the previous formula. A statement made by Eknath Shinde on Wednesday increased the chances of BJP’s Chief Minister. Shinde mentioned he is agreeable to a BJP CM and whatever decision BJP leadership makes, he will accept.
