According to AP reports, most Ukrainians remained calm amidst the debate, viewing Zelensky as a lion-hearted leader facing down the world's strongest powers, defending national dignity. Natalia Serhiienko, a retired Kyiv resident, praised Zelensky's determination, saying he fought like a lion, firmly maintaining Ukraine's cause.

Kyiv’s 37-year-old Artem Vasiliev criticized the disrespect shown by the US to Zelensky, stating Ukraine took a stand for democracy against Russia, asking, 'Is this what we get?'
Vasiliev, from Luhansk under Russian control, commented on Trump’s ignorance about the people dying, cities being destroyed, and the suffering mothers, children, and soldiers. He concluded, 'For Trump, business and money mean everything.'
