As the protest escalated, several activists, including the national president of Youth Congress, Uday Bhanu Chhib, and national media in-charge, Varun Pandey, were detained by police.

According to reports from news agencies, protesters shouted slogans against Pakistan and sang patriotic songs like 'The desire to sacrifice is now deep in our hearts,' while holding placards and banners demanding strong action against terrorism. The Youth Congress members and their supporters marched from Teen Murti Chowk towards the Pakistan High Commission.

One participant of the demonstration expressed, 'The terrorists have killed innocent and unarmed people, they must receive the harshest punishment. Every Youth Congress activist and every Indian seeks justice. Strong measures should be taken against terrorism.'

Despite the presence of heavy security by police and paramilitary forces in the area, the protesters managed to breach barricades and reach close to the high commission. Subsequently, police intervened to detain them.

Youth Congress leaders stated that this protest symbolizes India's unity against terrorism. Uday Bhanu Chhib declared, 'The people of India stand united against terrorism, and we want to convey that India will not compromise on the safety of its citizens.'

The terrorist assault in Pahalgam claimed the lives of several innocent individuals, sparking nationwide outrage. Police assured that all detained Congress activists would be released according to protocol.
