Yashasvi Jaiswal's First Century in Australia, IND Vs AUS 1st Test Day 3:

Indian team's star opener Yashasvi Jaiswal etched a historical marathon century in the Perth Test. This was his first century on Australian soil. With this century, he also carved out a slew of records. In the second innings of the Indian team, Yashasvi Jaiswal completed this century with a six. This was Jaiswal's fourth century in Test cricket, scoring 161 runs off 297 balls. His innings included 15 boundaries and three sixes.

On the third day of the Perth Test (24 November), right after hitting his century, Yashasvi Jaiswal celebrated in his iconic style. He removed his helmet and raised his arms in triumph, bringing joy to the Indian dressing room. His century came off 205 balls with 8 fours and three sixes.

In his debut Test on Australian soil, Yashasvi Jaiswal proved his mettle with an astute century in the second innings. He achieved this with a splendid upper-cut off Josh Hazlewood's delivery.

Interestingly, whenever Jaiswal has struck a century in Test cricket, it has been followed by innings exceeding 150 runs. Last year, he made his first Test century against the West Indies in Dominica, scoring 171 on his debut. He then followed up with a magnificent 209 runs against England in the Visakhapatnam Test in February 2024 and an unbeaten 214 against England in the Rajkot Test later that February.

At the same time, KL Rahul (77) also set a unique partnership record with Jaiswal. Jaiswal's blazing century laid the foundation for 8 major records… Let's uncover them...
