A resurgence in more powerful smartphone batteries is making waves these days. Smartphones with 7,000mAh batteries have already hit the market. Phones equipped with 5,000mAh and 6,000mAh batteries are also commonly available.
According to reports, Xiaomi is working on a smartphone with a whopping 10,000mAh battery, expected to feature in the Redmi K90 Ultra. Leaks suggest it will support 100W wired charging. Additionally, there are talks about 50W wireless charging capabilities.
Traditionally, smartphones with larger batteries were bulky. However, thanks to silicon-carbon technology, batteries can now be more powerful while remaining thin, keeping the phone sleek. Despite the 10,000mAh battery, the Redmi K90 Ultra maintains a slim profile at 8.5mm.
Early reports hinted at an 8,000mAh battery, but new updates confirm a larger 10,000mAh capacity. The phone is also expected to have a 50-megapixel camera and improved telephoto lens. Running on Xiaomi's Hyper OS, it may offer flagship-level stereo speakers and WIFI 7 connectivity.
The Redmi K90 Ultra is anticipated to launch in a couple of months, starting in China. Pricing details are still under wraps, but it's poised to deliver a flagship-level experience at a competitive price.
