The incident took place in the Gyan Khand area of the Indirapuram police station's jurisdiction. In the video, an unsuspecting woman named Sushma is seen creating a reel on the street while her companion shoots the video on a mobile phone.
In this sudden turn of events, a biker thief appears and snatches the woman's necklace before fleeing the scene. The shocking incident, caught on the camera filming the reel, has gone viral on social media.
ACP's Statement on the Case
An ACP of Indirapuram, Swatantra Kumar Singh, reported that a chain-snatching incident involving a woman has emerged within the jurisdiction of the Indirapuram police station. A video of the incident has been obtained by the police, and three teams have been formed to crack the case. The suspect will soon be identified, and the perpetrator will be arrested, bringing clarity to the incident.
Chain Snatching in Capital, Lucknow
A similar case has also been revealed in the capital city of Lucknow. A brazen daylight chain-snatching occurred in the Para police station area. CCTV footage of the incident surfaced. In this case, Lucknow police have apprehended two culprits, one of whom has previously perpetrated similar incidents.
