The long wait for Shiva devotees has come to an end with the doors of Kedarnath now welcoming pilgrims. Concurrently, the portals of Gangotri and Yamunotri also opened to public devotion today, with Gangotri's doors opening at 10:29 AM followed by Yamunotri's at 12:25 PM.
Meanwhile, Badrinath's doors will open on May 12th at 6 AM. However, the Weather Department has issued yellow alerts for multiple areas, forecasting light to moderate rainfall across regions such as Uttarkashi, Tehri, Pauri, Rudraprayag, Chamoli, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh, and Almora.

Yamunotri and Gangotri, located in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, are likely to witness thunderstorms, lightning strikes, and hail as per recent forecasts. Certain areas might experience gusty winds reaching speeds of 40-50 km/h. An increase in rainfall and thunderstorm activity is expected between May 11th and May 13th, with winds intensifying to 50-60 km/h.
