Fans eagerly await the return of former India captain Virat Kohli to the cricket field. Since leading the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to an IPL 2025 title victory, Kohli has stayed away from cricketing action. He's expected to be seen in the three-match ODI series against Australia, set to take place on Australian soil in October.

In preparation for the Australian tour, Virat Kohli recently took his fitness test in London. Meanwhile, other Indian players completed their assessments at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Centre of Excellence (COE) in Bengaluru. Apart from Vijayakumar Vaishak, all players successfully passed their fitness tests.

Virat Kohli shared his fitness test scores with former Indian football team captain Sunil Chhetri. Thoroughly impressed by Kohli's scores, Chhetri chose not to reveal the exact numbers but expressed admiration for Kohli's incredible stamina. Chhetri, who shares a strong friendship with Kohli, likened him to football legend Cristiano Ronaldo.

On the DesiPL podcast, Sunil Chhetri shared, 'A few days ago, Virat sent me his fitness test scores. It's very entertaining. Knowing such individuals is inspiring. Observing Virat's fitness level can motivate anyone on lazy days. When you are at the top, everyone aspires to be a Virat Kohli or a Ronaldo.'

When Kohli Shared His Yo-Yo Test Score

The COE in Bengaluru first conducted the yo-yo tests for Indian players, followed by a DXA scan to check bone strength. Kohli underwent similar assessments in London. A significant uproar ensued when Kohli shared his yo-yo test scores on Instagram in August 2023. The BCCI advised Indian players against publicly sharing fitness scores to avoid breaching contractual terms.

Sunil Chhetri noted how both Virat Kohli and Cristiano Ronaldo strive for continual improvement, never resting on their laurels regardless of their successes. Chhetri expressed adopting a similar mindset in his life, believing that pondering too much on one's achievements or failures can lead to losing focus on one's path.
