Uttar Pradesh's Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has often been suggested as a successor to Prime Minister Modi. Discussions include possibilities of him becoming the country’s next Prime Minister. At the India Today Conclave, when Chief Minister Yogi was asked if he sees himself as a successor within the BJP, he responded gracefully, stating that he is a Yogi and wishes to work in that capacity.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated, "I am not an heir. I am a Yogi. I wish to work as a Yogi. As a servant of Bharat Mata, I have been entrusted with the responsibility of serving the people of Uttar Pradesh. I am performing my duties in that form. I hope that while fulfilling my responsibilities, if I get the chance to return to Gorakhpur, I will further advance my Yogi responsibilities."
When asked whether it is Gorakhpur or Delhi on the cards this time, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath remarked, "As I've said before, I am more inclined towards returning to Gorakhpur." In response to being considered both a religious leader and a Chief Minister, he asserted that while there may seem to be differences, they have integrated traditions without contradictions, respecting India's spiritual heritage.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath further commented that the symbolism of renunciation as someone working in solitude for self-merit is misleading; to him, this isn't true to the path of religion. Religion genuinely inspires two main concepts.
One is 'Abhyudaya,' embodying our life's contribution to this world, noting that through fulfilling such responsibilities, liberation can be achieved. The CM emphasized progressing while fulfilling our worldly responsibilities.
