Amid the intense tensions between India and Pakistan, and the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the United States has issued a significant statement. America has accused Pakistan of supporting terrorist organizations and made it clear that it has consistently clarified its position on this issue.

The United States Department of State condemned the violence in Kashmir as “illegal and unacceptable,” highlighting it as a threat to global peace. This statement appears to lend international support to India’s stance.

Pakistan is Supporting Terrorists

In a press briefing, when US State Department Spokesperson Tammy Bruce was asked if she agreed with India’s allegation that Pakistan supports terrorist groups, she responded, “Absolutely, this is no surprise in today’s world. It’s an issue we’ve raised for decades. It’s a reality we’ve witnessed even in the Middle East, where similar acts have disrupted the lives of ordinary people.”

The spokesperson further stated, “What happened in Kashmir is completely illegal and unacceptable. The world has denounced such violence. We express our sympathies to the victims and their families.”

This statement comes at a time when tensions between India and Pakistan are once again at a peak. Following the recent terrorist attack in Kashmir, India has targeted Pakistan, accusing it of sheltering terrorism and inciting attacks on India.

Dialogue Should be Prioritized

Bruce further mentioned that the recent terrorist attacks have created an extremely concerning situation, but instead of adopting silence, dialogue should be prioritized. America’s role has been central in these discussions, and over the past two days, the US has reached out to numerous senior leaders from both countries. When asked if America is ready to play a mediating role, Tammy Bruce stated, “This is a highly sensitive and hazardous situation. We do not share details of any such diplomatic conversations.”

Reportedly, after being agitated by India’s Operation Sindoor against terrorism, Pakistan attempted to target around 15 cities across India, from Jammu and Kashmir to Jaisalmer on Thursday, but the Indian Army thwarted all these attacks. Drones, missiles, and fighter jets entering Indian territory were shot down one after another, and later in the night, the Indian Army’s retaliatory strikes sparked panic in Pakistan. The combined sea, land, and air forces conducted rapid operations targeting several cities, including Karachi, Lahore, Sialkot, and Peshawar.
