UP: Harassment Drives Intermediate Student to Attempt Suicide in College; Father Accuses Principal

In Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh, an intermediate student, troubled by harassment, attempted suicide by jumping from the second floor of her college. CCTV footage of the incident has surfaced, showing the student falling from the second floor. Upon receiving the news, the police arrived at the scene, recorded the injured student's statements, and began an investigation.

The victim's father told the police that the school bus driver used to harass his daughter. He had complained to the principal several times, but instead of taking action, they would scold his daughter and silence her. Distressed by this, his daughter took this drastic step. This incident occurred at Saraswati Bal Mandir Inter College in the town.

Police File Case Against School Bus Driver

It is reported that the student, in grave condition, was admitted to Prayagraj. However, due to her critical condition, doctors referred her to Kanpur. The family took the student to the police station by ambulance, demanding action against the culprits. The police have registered a case under relevant sections against the college principal Rajkapur Singh and bus driver Shiv Charan Singh based on the victim's father's complaint and have started an investigation.
