Congress MP Imran Masood sharply criticized the BJP government regarding the Fatehpur monument-temple conflict in Uttar Pradesh. He pointed out that videos from inside the monument clearly depicted violence, yet the police took no stringent action against the accused, including the BJP district president and leaders of Hindutva organizations. No FIRs were filed against them. If the perpetrators were Muslims, they would have been shot on the chest.
Imran Masood stated that after inciting chaos and destruction, there's talk of resolving the issue 'harmoniously.' Currently, we urge them not to spread hatred in society, else future generations will bear the consequences. Such politics will divide society.
On the other hand, SP leader Akhilesh Yadav commented on this incident, saying the event in Fatehpur is indicative of BJP's diminishing influence. Whenever BJP and its allies' secrets start getting exposed, conspiracies to disrupt harmony are hatched. The public now understands these strategies and will neither be stalled nor distracted by such occurrences. The question remains whether Lucknow drones or Delhi drones will identify the culprits of this incident. Long live social unity.
Similarly, BSP Chief Mayawati reacted to the issue. She wrote on 'X' that regarding the ongoing monument and temple dispute in Fatehpur district of UP, the government should not allow any community to take any step that may lead to communal tension and disrupt mutual brotherhood and harmony. The government should take this matter seriously and take strict steps if necessary.

Addressing the entire dispute, UP Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak stated that SP-Congress has always followed the policy of 'divide and rule.' Retorting to Akhilesh Yadav's statement, Pathak accused SP of dividing society and disrupting peace. He asserted that BJP's resolve is not to appease anyone, but to satisfy all. SP aims to disrupt the social fabric with its statements. Currently, the situation in Fatehpur is normal and the government is vigilant regarding law and order.
It's noteworthy that a dispute over a temple and a monument is intensifying in Fatehpur district of UP. Hindu organizations claim the monument is a temple of Lord Shiva and Shri Krishna, while the Muslim side argues it's the mausoleum of Nawab Abdul Samad. Last Monday, hundreds of people from the Hindu side stormed the monument and vandalized it. Given the tense atmosphere, a heavy force has been deployed at the site. Actions are being taken against the rioters. FIRs have been filed against dozens, including members of BJP, SP, and Hindu organizations.
