The Italian luxury brand Bulgari has shattered the record for the world's thinnest watch. Their latest creation, the Bulgari Octo Finissimo Ultra COSC, boasts a slim profile of just 1.7mm. With this achievement, Bulgari reaffirms its position as a leading innovator in the world of haute horlogerie.

After holding the title for the world's slimmest watch for years, Bulgari faced competition in 2022 when Richard Mille introduced the 1.75mm RM UP-01 Ferrari model. In response, Bulgari unveiled the Octo Finissimo Ultra COSC.

This watch is thinner than a coin. It remarkably houses a total of 170 components, some of which are visible on the open-work dial. For this engineering marvel, Bulgari used tungsten carbide and titanium for the bracelet, lugs, and bezel to ensure durability without compromising sleekness.

The watch's rear panel features a datamatrix that provides the owner with a digital experience, offering extensive information about the product, warranty, and the user manual.

This precision-engineered watch is also certified by the Swiss Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres (COSC), ensuring the timepiece has passed rigorous accuracy tests.

Details on whether the code is linked to an NFT are not disclosed, a feature previously seen in Bulgari's ultra-thin models. Priced at $590,000 (approximately 49,33,0667 INR), only 20 models of the Octo Finissimo Ultra COSC have been produced, each accompanied by an automatic-setting case.
