Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi to Host Iftar Party, Invites NDA Leaders

Previously, RJD leader Lalu Yadav hosted an Iftar party in Patna on Monday. On March 23, CM Nitish Kumar organized an Iftar gathering, followed by Union Minister Chirag Paswan.

This election year in Bihar has seen a surge in political Iftar parties. Following Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Union Minister Chirag Paswan, now the head of Hindustan Awam Morcha and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi is set to host an Iftar party on March 26 in Patna. Preparations are in full swing, with invitations extended to all NDA leaders, including CM Nitish Kumar. Devout fasting community members are also expected to participate.

Earlier this week in Patna, RJD chief Lalu Yadav held an Iftar party. On March 23, CM Nitish Kumar commenced the Iftar events. Union Minister Chirag Paswan has also contributed to this tradition.

However, despite the ceremony, CM Nitish Kumar faced a boycott from Muslim organizations at his Iftar party. Similarly, these organizations were absent from Chirag Paswan's event. In response, Chirag Paswan has raised questions concerning RJD and Congress. Meanwhile, discussions are brewing over Congress keeping their distance from Lalu’s Iftar function.

Chirag Paswan expressed his respect for Muslims and their leaders, stating that they have always stood by them. In 2005, his father proposed the idea of appointing a Muslim Chief Minister in Bihar. Although committed to this sentiment, grievances seem to persist. Those who claim to advocate for Muslims continue to be inimical? On the Wakf issue, they advocated for fairness.
