Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that Ukrainian pilots have started flying F-16 fighter jets within the country for operations. He stated that this will be a significant help in the war against Russia. Zelensky has also boosted the morale of his pilots, who are mastering flying these advanced jets.
Despite the arrival of F-16s, Zelensky acknowledged that Ukraine still has a shortage of adequately trained pilots and it's unclear how many more jets Ukraine will receive. He expressed hope that his pilots will strengthen the fight against Russia. However, Russia has also issued a warning to Ukraine, stating that they will target military bases, especially places where F-16s are housed.
