U.S. President Donald Trump stated that resolving the ongoing conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan would be "easy" for him. He shared this during a working lunch at the White House with Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky. Trump explained that while his main focus is running the U.S., he finds joy in resolving wars as it saves lives.
President Trump claimed that during his previous tenure, he settled numerous global conflicts, saving millions of lives. He asserted that he resolved eight wars, including those in Rwanda, Congo, and the India-Pakistan conflict. He also noted that each time he resolved a war, there were speculations about him receiving the Nobel Prize, though that never happened.

Meanwhile, the Taliban accused Pakistan of conducting airstrikes in several districts of the Paktika province, which they claim broke the ceasefire, leading both parties to meet in Doha for resolution.
