Amid the escalating conflict between Iran and Israel, a significant indication of America's role has emerged. The White House announced on Thursday that President Donald Trump would decide within two weeks whether the U.S. should take military action against Iran.
White House Press Secretary Carolyn Levitt shared President Trump's message, stating, "There's a chance of engaging in talks with Iran shortly, or there might not be. Based on this, the President will make his decision within the next two weeks."

'If there’s room for diplomacy, the President will embrace it'
Levitt further stated that Trump always favors diplomatic solutions. She remarked, "He is an advocate of peace. He firmly believes in the principle of 'Peace through Strength.' If there's room for diplomacy, the President will embrace it." However, she added, "But if there's a need to showcase strength, he will not hold back."
This statement comes at a time when The Wall Street Journal reported that President Trump supports a plan to strike Iran but hasn't issued the final order. He wishes to see whether Iran halts its nuclear program.
What did Donald Trump say to the media?
Earlier, Trump told journalists, "I might attack, or I might not. Next week is crucial, and a decision might come sooner." On Thursday, Israel executed an airstrike on Iran's nuclear-related sites, which prompted Iran to retaliate with missiles and drones, one of which damaged Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba, southern Israel.

In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reacted sternly, stating, "The tyrants in Tehran will pay a full price." All eyes are now on America's next move, as Trump's decision could set the course of the entire conflict.
