'Daddy Has to Scold at Times' – NATO Chief on Iran-Israel Ceasefire, Trump Justifies His Words

Trump stated, 'Israel and Iran will no longer fight. They've clashed like schoolchildren. You can't stop them immediately. Let them fight for a moment, then it's easier to manage.' In response, NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte laughed, mentioning, 'And sometimes the father needs to use strong words.'

In defense of his recent statement regarding Israel and Iran, U.S. President Donald Trump stressed the necessity of using 'harsh language' occasionally. Trump likened the conflict between the two nations to 'children squabbling on a school playground.'

Trump remarked, 'Israel and Iran won't fight each other again. They've gone through it, much like two kids in a school fight. You can't intervene immediately. Allow them a brief scuffle, then it's easier to settle things down.' NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte responded with laughter, saying, 'And sometimes a father must use stern words.'

'Sometimes Harsh Language Is Necessary'

Trump concurred, 'At times, a firm tone and specific words are needed.' A day earlier, commenting on the ceasefire breaches by Israel and Iran, Trump employed some colorful language.

'Iran Will Not Develop Nuclear Weapons'

Issuing a stringent warning to Iran about resuming its nuclear program, Trump stated, 'Iran will no longer proceed with uranium enrichment.' He informed journalists, 'Iran won’t be developing nuclear bombs soon...We didn’t think Iran had enough time to extract nuclear material from sites. In my view, that was a significant blow.'

Earlier, Trump dismissed reports claiming that Iran had evacuated 400 kilograms of uranium from sites before US strikes, labeling them as 'fake news.' The White House also asserted these reports were attempts to undermine the President.
