In a sorrowful turn during festive times, a family in Auraiya, Uttar Pradesh, faced the grim reaper on what was supposed to be a joyous occasion. While going to buy a cake for his son's birthday, a father met with a fatal accident on the road. As soon as the family was informed of the mishap, a wave of despair swept through the household. The incident occurred on the eve of December 31, where parents were preparing to celebrate their son's birthday and the New Year simultaneously.
The unfortunate road accident occurred near the Mahewa Road in the Achhalda police area the previous evening. Ajay, along with a relative, was on his way on a motorcycle to fetch a cake for his son's birthday. Shortly after setting out from the village and hitting the road, an unidentified vehicle struck Ajay's motorcycle.
The impact left both Ajay and his companion Chandan severely injured. They were quickly transported to the Community Health Center (CHC), where Ajay was declared deceased. Chandan, given the seriousness of his condition, was referred to the Saifai RIMS for further medical attention.
Meanwhile, the police have taken custody of Ajay's body and are conducting the postmortem after completing the legal formalities. Efforts are underway to locate the hit-and-run vehicle, with the authorities scouring nearby CCTV footage as part of their investigation.
Grief overshadows joy in an instant
The bereaved family is inconsolable, their tears telling a tale of unexpected loss. 'We had no idea our happiness would be shattered in a moment,' they express. 'Preparations for our son's birthday were underway at home, and Ajay had gone to the market to bring a cake. That's when the news of the bike accident reached us.'
