An incident from Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, has touched hearts across social media. This is where a taxi driver demonstrated such integrity that everyone is praising. The driver returned a female tourist's bag containing cash, an iPhone, and many valuable items.
In fact, the female tourist forgot her bag in the taxi while getting off. According to Kashmir Crown reports, the bag contained a bundle of 500 rupee notes, an iPhone, and other essential items. When the driver later checked the taxi, he found the bag.
The driver then utilized the documents found inside and got help from local people to contact the tourist. Within a short time, he located the woman and returned all belongings intact, without expecting anything in return.
In the viral video, the female tourist can be seen thanking the driver. She praises his honesty, shakes his hand, and emotionally gives him a hug. This moment is moving for the viewers as well.

According to the report, a police officer said that such acts reflect the deeply rooted spirit of honesty in society and strengthen the trust between tourists and locals.

Another user shared an experience, writing that at the Zojila Pass War Memorial, their UPI didn't work, and a Kashmiri brother said it was no problem, insisting they pay when they get to Srinagar, stating, 'You are our guest.'
Another user wrote that Kashmiri people are incredibly warm and hospitable. They truly treat tourists with the respect due to guests.
Remarkably, a similar example of honesty was seen in September 2025, when a cab driver in Gurugram returned a MacBook worth around two lakhs to a college student who had accidentally left it in their bag.
This Pahalgam incident once again proves that Kashmir is known not just for its beauty, but also for the humanity and generosity of its people.
