The Victim's Father Made Allegations

The victim's father also accused Kolkata Police of trying to cover up the case. He stated that the police hastily performed the final rites to suppress the matter. He alleged that a senior police officer attempted to bribe them after the case came to light.

He also mentioned that from the beginning, Kolkata Police tried to hush up the case. The family was not even allowed to see their daughter's body and was made to wait for hours at the police station. They received the body only after the post-mortem. During this time, a senior police officer tried to bribe them, but they refused.
