Amidst allegations of nepotism, Tejashwi Yadav has countered Bihar's Chief Minister, Nitish Kumar, reminded him that he himself has five siblings. He also emphasized that critics of the Lalu family must first set their own records straight.
The Nitish Kumar led NDA government in Bihar, presently in power, has been cornering Tejashwi on the issue of nepotism. In a counterspell, Tejashwi has listed siblings and children from families of prominent Indian leaders. He asserts that those questioning the Lalu family should refine their knowledge. The constitution maker Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar had 14 siblings, so did Subhas Chandra Bose. Nitish Kumar has 5, while former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had 7 siblings.
'Only the Lalu family in the line of fire'
Tejashwi further added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi also has 6 siblings, Amit Shah 7, former Telangana Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao 10, and previous Prime Ministers Deve Gowda and Narasimha Rao also had many children. According to Tejashwi Yadav, when it comes to targeting, only the Lalu family seems to be in the spotlight.

Nitish Kumar Launches Attack On Nepotism
Indeed, Bihar's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had indirectly launched an attack on Lalu's family for nepotism, in a recent speech in Purnia for the NDA candidate. He stated that Lalu Prasad Yadav had to resign from his position due to corruption cases, after which he appointed his wife as the Chief Minister and is now promoting his children in politics. Kumar questioned the need to have so many children.
