Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his Sunday address to the nation, emphasized the importance of adopting 'Swadeshi' (indigenous) products, linking it to the country's independence. He asserted that just as India's freedom was empowered by the mantra of 'Swadeshi', so too will its prosperity be with the power of indigenous products. We should buy goods that are MADE IN INDIA.

This statement by PM Modi provoked a response from former Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convenor, Arvind Kejriwal.

In a social media post, Arvind Kejriwal remarked, "Prime Minister, you want the public to use indigenous products. Start using them yourself. Leave the foreign aircraft you travel on daily. Abandon all the foreign items you use throughout the day."

Kejriwal further suggested taking action against the four American companies operating in India. "Trump insults India and Indians every day. You should act too. People expect action from their Prime Minister, not speeches," he added.

'Mistake of underestimating the public...'

Earlier, AAP leader Priyanka Kakkar also targeted Narendra Modi. After PM Modi highlighted the benefits of GST reforms, Priyanka Kakkar raised several questions. She criticized the BJP and the central government, stating they should not make the mistake of underestimating the intelligence of the public.

She added, "The public knows how the government wrote off 14 trillion rupees for its capitalist friends, saved 1 trillion rupees annually in corporate tax, and taxed commoners on milk, curd, and even items used in prayers. Household savings are at a five-decade low, and manufacturing is in shambles."
