In a shocking act of brutality in Surat's Limbayat area, a textile businessman was murdered. On the late night of Friday, Alok Agrawal, involved in the textile trade, was attacked by three individuals with knives. The incident was captured on CCTV.
The incident occurred in front of Dumbhal Fire Station under Limbayat police jurisdiction, causing widespread fear in the area. Police have launched an investigation into the matter.
According to reports, Alok Agrawal, aged 45, lived in Vatika Township opposite the Dumbhal Fire Station and worked in the textile market. On that fateful night around 2:45 AM, he was near the fire station when unknown assailants struck.

The CCTV footage reveals Alok engaged in a phone call when suddenly three unknown individuals approached from behind and started stabbing him with sharp weapons. Each attacker, one by one, repeatedly stabs him—about 50 times—targeting Alok’s fingers and causing severe wounds. Alok falls to the ground, fatally injured, as the attackers continue until assured of his death.

The attackers fled the scene brandishing knives. Alok, critically injured, was quickly transported by ambulance to the Smimmer Hospital, where doctors on duty declared him dead shortly after attempting medical aid. On being informed, the Limbayat police inspector arrived on-site to assess the situation.
Surat Police ACP Veerbhadra Singh Jadeja reported that a complaint was filed by the deceased's brother, and investigations have commenced. The motive remains unclear, but it is known that three unknown individuals with sharp weapons carried out the attack. The deceased had prior cases of gambling at the Limbayat police station, and further investigations are underway to check for additional cases.
