Tales of 'love jihad' continue to surface. One such story hails from Surat, Gujarat, where a Hindu girl is said to have been coerced by a Muslim boy into changing her Hindu name without marriage or a 'nikah', and adopting Muslim apparel.

Photographs of the girl with the boy, which have gone viral on social media, confirm she is wearing the traditional Muslim attire associated with the name Shayna Sheikh.

Despite being lured from Surat to Dubai by the Muslim boy without a traditional Hindu wedding or a Muslim nikah, the girl's family remained unaware until it was too late.

The girl, under the pretense of attending tuition classes, disappeared from home, prompting her parents to launch a desperate search that initially led nowhere. Eventually, the girl's disappearance was formally reported to Athwa Lines Police Station.

While the police began investigation, the girl's family scrutinized local CCTV footage which showed her, face covered and carrying a school bag, leaving alone.

Upon alerting the police, it became evident that the girl was not even in India but had been called to Dubai by a Muslim boy living in the same neighborhood.

Under family pressure, the boy's return is orchestrated.

As the police exerted pressure on the boy's family, he was compelled to send the Hindu girl back to Surat from Dubai, leaving himself behind.

Upon her return, police recorded the girl's statement in which she claimed to have gone to Dubai of her own accord. She now prefers to reside with her aunt rather than her parents.

The incident dates back to March of this year. The 19-year-old Hindu girl was purportedly seduced by Sameer Sheikh aka Sameer Bharuchi, a resident of her own neighborhood, into 'love jihad'.

Sameer summoned the girl to Dubai after his move.

Sameer, after relocating to Dubai for work, later called over the girl to dispell any suspicions. Meanwhile, her parents and police continually pressured Sameer's family for her return.

Under pressure, Sameer Sheikh sent the Hindu girl back to Surat. However, she hasn't given a statement that would legally implicate Sameer, leading to the police closing the case file.

Parents say it's a serious matter.

The parents of the girl claim she has fallen prey to 'love jihad', saying they never imagined their daughter could be swayed in such a manner. They believe her brainwashing happened over three or four years, and she still follows the boy's influence, disregarding their words and their presence.

Parents claim Sameer brainwashed her.

The distressed mother of the victimized girl claims her daughter has been manipulated to the extent that she only sees Sameer now. The conversation brings the mother to tears as she recounts the pain of betrayal and calls for government action against such individuals.
