A major revelation has emerged in the Sultanpur jewelry showroom robbery (August 28). The bike used in the incident belonged to Mohammed Nasim from the Kadipur Kotwali area in the district. Nasim had taken his mother, Madina Khatoon, to Jaunpur hospital on August 20. During this time, his bike was stolen. When Nasim reported the theft to the police, his FIR was not registered.
Eight days later (August 28), a robbery takes place at a jewelry business in Sultanpur's Thatheri Bazaar. This leads to the involvement of police from both Sultanpur and Jaunpur. The police interrogate Nasim and take him in for further questioning. During this period, the police review CCTV cameras from various places.
Nasim's mother, Madina Khatoon, mentioned that his son's bike is yet to be recovered. According to her, Nasim continued to search for his bike from August 21 to August 23 and tried to get an FIR filed, but efforts were of no avail.
Nasim's father, Maqbool, stated that his son attempted to file an FIR at the Kotwali. However, he was told that the UP police exams were ongoing, and the FIR would be filed later. Nasim was thus dismissed.
On August 28, when the robbery occurs, the police force visits Nasim's house. Nasim recounts the entire sequence of events. According to his family, the FIR for the stolen bike was filed only after the robbery incident. Today (September 11), Nasim is once again traveling to Jaunpur to give his statement.
Nasim mentioned that he walked from Sultanpur to Jaunpur for three days, yet the police did not file his report. The case was only filed post the robbery, specifically on the evening of August 28, the day of the jewelry store robbery.
It's notable that in Sultanpur, where Mangesh Yadav's encounter took place, photos show STF personnel in slippers and without bulletproof jackets, raising questions about the encounter. Among these, a Hero Super Splendor bike was shown seized from Mangesh. There was no number on this bike, but it connects to another Super Splendor bike stolen from Jaunpur on August 20.
The report for the Jaunpur bike stolen on August 20 was filed on August 28, the same day the Sultanpur robbery occurred. In the continuity of that robbery, the Super Splendor bike appeared at the encounter scene. Thus, the question arises why the Jaunpur police delayed filing the bike theft report for so long?
