A catastrophic cloudburst in Kishtwar has led to widespread destruction. Unfortunately, 33 people have lost their lives, and 120 others are injured. Adding to the tragedy, over 200 individuals are reported missing. In the wake of this calamity, several prominent figures, including PM Modi and Rahul Gandhi, have expressed their condolences.
Prime Minister Modi conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to all those affected by the disaster. He assured that every effort is being made to closely monitor the situation. Rescue and relief operations are underway and he promised that all necessary assistance will be provided to those in need.
Meanwhile, Congress Member of Parliament and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, also extended his grief over the incident in Kishtwar. He remarked that the news of many deaths and disappearances due to the cloudburst in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar is deeply saddening. He offers his deepest condolences to the affected families and hopes for the swift recovery of those missing. He urged the administration to expedite rescue and relief efforts and called upon Congress leaders and workers to aid the authorities and offer all possible assistance to the needy.
