The UPSC Civil Services Exam is known as one the most prestigious and challenging exams in the country. Annually, millions apply and dedicate years to prepare, often with significant expense. The Odisha Higher Education Department (ODHE) has issued a notice for free Civil Services coaching. The notice outlines essential details such as eligibility, age limits, academic requirements, test centres, and the selection process for eligible candidates. Coaching duration is tentatively from June 2024 to April 2025.
How to Access Free UPSC Coaching?
To benefit from free UPSC coaching, eligible candidates need to apply through the official websites dheodish.gov.in or samsodish.gov.in by filling in the Common Application Form (CAF). The application deadline is April 2, 2024, with an entrance exam scheduled for May 5, 2024.
Additional Benefits with Free Coaching
As per the notice, after passing the qualifying entrance exam on May 5, 2024, 200 candidates will be selected by the State Selection Board, Department of Higher Education. A reservation of 33% of seats will be ensured for female candidates in each category. Those who clear the entrance exam will receive free coaching, meals, and hostel facilities in Bhubaneswar. This is a full-time residential coaching program, so day scholars are not permitted. The entrance exam syllabus will be based on the UPSC Civil Services Examination pattern.
Who is Eligible for the Entrance Exam?
Candidates must be graduates from a recognized university or college as of February 1, 2024, be permanent residents of Odisha with a domicile certificate, aged 21 but not older than 30 as of February 1, 2024. Reserved category candidates will be given age relaxation as per rules.
Who Cannot Apply?
