This time, he justified the firing incident on the Kar Sevaks, claiming the then-government acted for peace and fulfilled its duty.
SP MLA comments on Maurya
Swami Prasad Maurya has previously made controversial remarks about Hinduism, prompting criticism from within his own party. SP MLA Rakesh Pratap Singh has targeted Swami, saying, "Those who make controversial statements about Sanatan should first know about their own forefathers. Only then can they understand Sanatan."
Gauriganj MLA Rakesh Pratap Singh further stated that understanding Sanatan requires comprehension, and Akhilesh Yadav has emphasized in our meetings that no one should speak about religion.
Earlier, SP MLA had stated that Ram is our deity. We desire that the assembly speaker take all of us legislators to Ayodhya on the 22nd of January. We wish to attend the Ram program (consecration) and view our Lord. I have written a letter to the speaker concerning this.

SP MLA Rakesh Singh reacted to Swami Prasad's statement by saying that he is unaware of the conditions under which bullets were fired. However, with the court's decision allowing the construction of the Ram Temple, those who follow Sanatan have found delight. If any controversial statements hurt someone's sentiments, it's wrong.
'First guide your daughter, Swami'
Swami's repeated statements have affected many SP workers who believe in Lord Ram and practice Sanatan. This would cause them discomfort. I would advise Swami to first address his daughter. I have photographs showing her worshipping at Kedarnath, performing Rudrabhishek, and attending Brahmin feasts. She even performs the ritual of offering gratuity to Brahmins, indicating that a person unable to instruct his daughter is speaking negatively about Hinduism across the nation.
Rakesh Singh also mentioned - I wish to tell Akhilesh Yadav that if Swami Maurya continues his stance despite your instructions, you should take strict action now.
It's noteworthy that previously, suspense surrounded the invitation to SP chief Akhilesh Yadav for the Ram Temple inauguration. Later, VHP executive president Alok Kumar claimed Akhilesh was invited. However, Akhilesh rebutted, stating he doesn't know Alok Kumar and prefers to receive invitations only from known acquaintances.
