In the tragic aftermath of a school bus accident in Mahendragarh's Kanina, heartache ensues as six precious lives were claimed, and fifteen students gravely injured. The authorities revealed, under the haze of alcohol, the driver crashed into a tree, overturning the bus. Subsequently, the school management and principal have been detained by the police.

A survivor recounts, the driver, intoxicated, was speeding at 120km/h, leading to the catastrophe that unleashed wails of pain. Locals, quick to the scene, heroically extracted the children from the wreckage. Officials, notified promptly, dispatched the wounded to medical care.

Principal and Owner to Face Legal Actions

The Education Minister, visiting injured students, advised school operators to cease exploitative practices and to follow rules. A FIR is imminent against the driver, principal, and owner. Compliance and ethics must be the core of educational provision.

The Minister contended that operating the school on a holiday is serious malpractice. Stern actions are directed towards any educational institution violating norms. Sorrow was expressed for the incident, and licenses of the violating schools will face potential revocation.

Investigative Committee Formed by Transport Minister

In response to the accident, the Transport Minister ordered a thorough investigation. A committee has been established, and authorities are under scrutiny. Those found culpable will face suspension.

The same bus was fined 15,500 INR days prior, revealing a blatant negligence by the school management. The Minister has mandated a fitness check for all school vehicles. The accident's bus had an expired fitness certificate since 2018.
