PM Modi Visits Adampur Airbase; Shahbaz Arrives at Sialkot Cantonment

Just one day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Punjab's Adampur Airbase, on Wednesday, Pakistan's Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif arrived at Sialkot's Pasrur Cantonment to meet with military officers and soldiers.

During India's Sindur Operation, radar sites at the Pasrur and Sialkot aviation bases were precisely targeted, resulting in significant damage to the region.

Shahbaz Sharif Addresses the Troops

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif met with military officers and soldiers present, who were involved in the recent conflict. A statement from the PM House confirmed that Sharif addressed the troops, commending their contributions to Pakistan's defense. It also mentioned that Shahbaz Sharif plans to visit airbases and naval installations to meet with the Pakistan Air Force and Navy personnel.

Asim Munir Joins Shahbaz at Pasrur Cant

During Shahbaz's visit to Pasrur Cantonment, Pakistan's top military and political figures accompanied him. Among them were Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Army Chief General Asim Munir, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu, Minister Ahsan Iqbal, and Atta Ullah Tarar, along with Sialkot Corps Commander and other senior officials.

India Avenge the Pahalgam Attack

Earlier, on the night of May 6-7, India retaliated against nine terrorist targets in Pakistan and PoK with missile attacks, confirming the death of over 100 terrorists. This move was in response to the Pahalgam terrorist attack. Subsequently, Pakistan attempted retaliatory actions on several Indian military installations between May 8-10, which were thwarted by India's air defense systems. Afterwards, Indian armed forces launched a formidable counterattack on several Pakistani military bases, including Rafiqui, Mureedke, Chaklala, Rahim Yar Khan, Sukkur, and Chunian. Following these tense developments, a ceasefire was declared between India and Pakistan on May 10.
