Authorities are investigating a harrowing incident involving a 4-year-old child in Mumbai's Kandivali area. It has been alleged that a school staff member coaxed the child into a bathroom with the offer of a chocolate and then proceeded to commit sexual assault.
The community is outraged, and parents are demanding the strictest punishment for the perpetrator. Following the ordeal, the victim's mother recounted to the local police how her daughter returned from school and soon complained of pain.
The traumatized mother, upon gentle inquiry, learned from her daughter that an individual from the school had taken her to the bathroom on the pretext of giving her a chocolate, only to perpetrate the crime. Feeling the earth slip from under her feet upon hearing her daughter's words, the mother immediately rushed her child to Shatabdi Hospital and notified the authorities. The child is currently undergoing medical treatment.
The police, upon receiving the complaint, promptly arrested the accused. The public's anger has been palpable as they took to the streets demanding that justice be served sternly and swiftly. The police have assured that they are treating the case with utmost seriousness and will take appropriate legal action. The accused has now been detained and will be presented before the court for further proceedings.
