During a review session of the electoral defeat in Saharanpur's Lok Sabha constituency, pandemonium broke out in front of BJP MLC Govind Narayan Shukla. Allegedly, party workers accused a BJP MLA and a state minister of colluding to ensure the defeat of BJP candidate Raghav Lakhanpal, intensifying the dispute and escalating to vociferous protests.

In fact, today in Saharanpur, MLC Govind Narayan arrived to review the defeat of BJP candidate Raghav Lakhanpal. During the review at the Circuit House auditorium, leaders and representatives of the organization were accused of sabotaging Raghav's campaign. During these accusations, city MLA Rajiv Gumber and state minister Kunwar Brijesh Singh faced severe protest chants.

The review meeting was subsequently suspended due to the commotion in the hall of the Circuit House and MLC Govind Narayan then took private feedback from the activists and officials. According to sources, some BJP workers have accused the city legislator and minister of orchestrating Raghav Lakhanpal's election defeat, which created a tense atmosphere.

Meanwhile, BJP MLC Govind Narayan told the media that the party is taking feedback from the grassroots to understand the realities on the ground and the shortcomings in the elections across the state. Conversations are being held in different categories with the party's grassroots workers, regional presidents, and other officers. We are determined to address these issues before 2027, and work towards strengthening the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

According to the BJP MLC, the party is assessing the real conditions on the ground with activists across the state and understanding where we fell short. There were some issues where the opposition conducted misleading campaigns, causing this situation. We, along with all the activists, will correct this before 2027. The talk of opposition is not correct.

It is worth mentioning that the results of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections have been declared. Out of the total 80 seats in UP, the SP has won 37. In contrast, the BJP has bagged 33 seats. The Congress got 6 seats, the RLD 2 seats, and Azad Samaj Party and Apna Dal (S) each secured one seat. Mayawati's BSP party failed to open its account. This election saw the BJP losing a significant number of previously held seats.
