Efforts are underway to resolve the almost four-year-long Russia-Ukraine conflict that stretches from Alaska to Washington. Yet, neither nation is ready to step back. Recently, U.S. President Donald Trump met Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, but the meeting did not yield results. Subsequently, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy conferred with European leaders and Trump in Washington, aiming for a peaceful conclusion, but a definitive resolution remains elusive.
Zelenskyy Criticizes Moscow
Ukraine's Airforce claimed on Thursday that Russia executed its most substantial aerial attack on Ukraine this year, launching 574 drones and 40 missiles. These attacks predominantly targeted Ukraine's western regions. Officials noted that at least one person died and 15 others were injured. Following the recent assault, President Zelenskyy remarked that Moscow shows no indication of being ready to end the conflict or engage in significant negotiations.
In a dialogue with Ukrainian journalists, Zelenskyy revealed that 15 individuals were injured in the Russian assault on the American company. Expressing a desire to meet Putin in a neutral European locale, possibilities include countries such as Switzerland, Austria, or Turkey. Plans for a meeting in Budapest were canceled due to Hungary's opposition to supporting Ukraine.

Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha confirmed Russia's strike on a 'major American electronics manufacturer' in western Ukraine. He refrained from further comments. This part of Ukraine is notably far from the frontlines in the east and south. Western allies primarily channel military assistance to this region, possibly explaining why Russia targeted it this time.
According to official statistics, this was Russia's third-largest aerial assault this year in terms of drone numbers, and the eighth largest in terms of missiles.
Ukraine Inflicted Significant Damage on Russia
Earlier in June, Ukraine's special forces executed relentless airstrikes on Russia. Targeting Russian airbases, they managed to destroy 41 Russian bombers on the ground. It is estimated that over 30% of Russia's bomber fleet and radar systems were damaged during these attacks.

The Ukrainian strike was in retaliation to Russia's previous assault, involving 477 drones terrorizing Ukrainian territory. Russia launched a total of 537 aerial weapons, including 477 drones and 60 missiles. The Ukrainian Airforce claimed to have shot down 249 of these, while 226 were rendered ineffective due to electronic jamming, unable to reach their targets.
