In the Union Territory of Delhi, a new government was formed only a day ago, and a war of words has already started between the Chief Minister and the former Chief Minister. Former CM Atishi recalled the promise of approving the plan to give women ₹2,500 monthly in the first cabinet meeting, questioning the government, to which CM Rekha Gupta has responded.

CM Rekha Gupta stated that it’s their government, their agenda, and they should be allowed to work on it. She assured that all the promises made to the public will be fulfilled. She further mentioned that in their very first cabinet meeting, the Ayushman scheme was approved, and proceedings to implement it are underway.

During this period, a question was raised about Atishi's comments on the promise of providing ₹2,500 to women. In response, Rekha Gupta reiterated that it was their government and agenda, hence they should be allowed to execute it. There's no need to say everything in words. It was done during their tenure.

Earlier, after assuming the office of the Chief Minister of Delhi, Rekha Gupta met President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan. She also has meetings scheduled with Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Notably, former CM Atishi, while releasing a poster, questioned CM Rekha Gupta about when women would receive their ₹2,500.

Atishi, mentioning the first meeting of the Rekha Gupta cabinet held a day earlier, pointed out that although the first cabinet meeting was held yesterday, the plan to give ₹2,500 to women was not approved. She sarcastically remarked that Rekha Gupta proved PM Modi’s guarantee false. Referring to PM Modi's statement, she questioned when the women of Delhi would receive their ₹2,500.
