The festival of Ram Navami is being celebrated with great fanfare across the nation. This year's celebration is particularly special as it marks the first Ram Navami since the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. On the occasion of Ram Navami, the temple gates were opened early at 3:30 AM for devotees. It is said that worshippers can visit Lord Ram until 11 PM. As a result, a large number of pilgrims have gathered at the temple. At 12:16 PM, a special Sun Tilak will be performed.

Devotees are particularly enthusiastic about visiting Lord Ram on Ram Navami. Many worshippers started arriving at the temple early Wednesday morning and took sacred dips in the Saryu River. The air reverberated with chants of 'Jai Shri Ram'.

Ayodhya is immersed in the divine melody of Ram Dhun. The police have made elaborate security arrangements. By nightfall, devotees had started their journey to Ayodhya, preparing for early morning baths and worship rituals. What is the special Sun Tilak of Ramlala?

During the Sun Tilak ceremony, devotees will be permitted inside the Ram Temple. For this event, about 100 LEDs have been installed by the temple trust, and an additional 50 LEDs have been arranged by the government. These will illuminate the festivities of Ram Navami. The sight of the Abhishek ritual will be magnificent.

At exactly noon, sunbeams will grace the forehead of Lord Rama's idol for five minutes. Reflected through lenses and mirrors, the beams will reach the deity's brow. A team of scientists has meticulously organized this.

Lord Rama to be offered a lavish feast

For the special worship on Ram Navami, a feast comprising 56 delicacies has been prepared. This grand offering will be presented to Lord Rama and later distributed among the devotees. Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief priest of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple, revealed that the trust has made all the necessary arrangements for the ceremony, including the Abhishek at 12:16 PM.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while conveying his wishes on Ram Navami, noted that this year's festival is the first at the grand and divine Ram Temple in Ayodhya with Lord Rama iconically presiding. He mentioned that Ayodhya is in a state of unprecedented joy, celebrating Ram Navami in such an extraordinary way for the first time in five centuries. This is a fruitful outcome of the country's centuries-long penance, sacrifice, and dedication.

President Droupadi Murmu extended her warm wishes on this holy day, stating that the festival inspires us to follow the paths of truth and righteousness. Lord Rama's life, which established the highest ideals of selfless love, valor, and generosity, continues to be an inspiration for all of humanity. On this auspicious day, she urged citizens to resolve to build a nation where every life is dignified and prosperity is ubiquitous.

How is the Ram Temple?

The Ram Temple in Ayodhya has been constructed in the traditional Nagar style of architecture, covering 2.7 acres. This three-storied structure is 380 feet in length and 161 feet in height, with an entry gate named 'Singh Dwara'. The temple has a total of 392 pillars, with 160 in the sanctum sanctorum and 132 upstairs. There are 12 entrance gates. Upon entering the temple through Singh Dwara, visitors will see the dance hall, assembly hall, and the sanctum sanctorum. The temple complex includes shrines for Surya Dev, Lord Vishnu, and the Panchdev Temple.
