Union Minister Rajnath Singh, in an interview with a media establishment, targeted Congress and dismissed their dictatorship allegations as baseless. Recalling the Emergency's dark period, he became emotional, revealing personal family suffering. During this time, his mother passed away. She had been hospitalized for several days, but Singh, incarcerated, could not get parole to see her.

Singh stated expectations that Pakistan, if continuing to destabilize India through terrorism, will suffer the consequences. He suggested cooperation with India to combat terrorism, declaring readiness to support.
