'Yoga practitioners were once ridiculed', says Rajasthan's Education Minister Madan Dilawar

Rajasthan's Education Minister Madan Dilawar has once again made a controversial statement. He claimed that yoga practitioners were once ridiculed but now, thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the entire world is embracing yoga.

On the 10th International Yoga Day, the Education Minister remarked that yoga practitioners were once mocked, but now Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made the entire world appreciate yoga. Madan Dilawar made these comments when asked about alleged malpractices in the NEET exams.

It is worth noting that this isn't the first time Rajasthan's Education Minister Madan Dilawar has made controversial remarks. He has done so on multiple occasions in the past. Recently, the Education Minister enforced strict dress codes in schools, stating that only the prescribed dress code should be worn. He mentioned that the government knows how to enforce these orders.

Who is Madan Dilawar

Madan Dilawar is an MLA from the Ramganjmandi constituency in Rajasthan. He defeated Congress candidate Mahendra Rajoria in the 2023 Assembly elections. Following this victory, he was appointed as a Cabinet Minister in the Bhajan Lal government. Currently, he handles the responsibilities of the School Education, Panchayati Raj, and Sanskrit Education departments. It should be noted that he became an MLA for the first time representing the Ramganjmandi constituency in the 2018 Rajasthan Assembly elections.
