In the high-profile Radhika Yadav murder case in Gurugram, the arrested father, Deepak Yadav, remains in police custody and is continuously interrogated. As his remand period ends today, he is expected to be re-presented in court. This gruesome incident has left the Yadav family and the entire neighborhood in complete shock since it occurred on a Thursday morning. In an exclusive conversation with 'Aaj Tak', Vijay Yadav, Radhika's uncle, unveiled some astounding truths immediately after reaching the crime scene.
Vijay Yadav narrated how he rushed upstairs upon hearing gunshots. There, he found Deepak, who, in tears, whispered, "Brother, the daughter has been slain." Vijay instantly alerted the police and warned them that Deepak might harm himself at any moment. Deepak has expressed his wish for a charge sheet that ensures a death penalty. Vijay recalls, "Deepak was crying, overwhelmed with despair. I feared he might take his own life."
Uncle feared unintended actions from Deepak
Vijay went on to say, "I have told the police officers at the station to keep a close watch on him. I'm scared he might harm himself." Regarding societal scorn, he added, "No one taunted us. These things don't affect us as long as our children are with us." Vijay urged the police to file a report that would result in Deepak receiving the death penalty. Radhika Yadav's final rites were performed on Friday in Wazirabad village, with her brother, Dheeraj Yadav, leading the ceremony.

Radhika's choices stirred scorn for Deepak
During police interrogation, Deepak Yadav confessed his depression, largely stemming from the criticisms he faced due to his daughter's actions, as the family's income now primarily came from a tennis academy managed by Radhika. Deepak believed that their saved retirement funds and rental income should suffice, making Radhika’s celebration of herself as a star hard to digest. Radhika's appearance in a music video last year had also sparked previous family quarrels.
Radhika's rising fame troubled Deepak
The police suspect that this video and Radhika's increasing social media presence were injuring Deepak’s self-esteem. Police spokesman Sandeep Singh stated, "Deepak had repeatedly asked Radhika to give it all up, but when she didn't agree, his anger led him to take this horrific step." At the time of the murder, only Deepak, his wife Manju, and Radhika were on the first floor of their home. Radhika's uncle, Kuldeep Yadav, has lodged a complaint against his brother.

Uncle's grim discovery of Radhika
Kuldeep Yadav recounted hearing a loud explosion around 10:30 AM and rushed to find Radhika lying in a pool of blood in the kitchen, with the gun placed in the drawing-room. Kuldeep and his son, Piyush, rushed her to the hospital, but it was too late. The post-mortem report established that four shots were fired at close range. Police are now trying to ascertain the number of bullets in the licensed revolver used in the incident.
Tennis Academy disputes fueled clashes
Gurugram police noted that Radhika was a tennis player involved in training others but ran no academy of her own. Instead, she booked various tennis courts for training sessions. This activity drew objections from her father, sparking discord between them. An officer elaborated, "Radhika had no academy of her own. Deepak had urged her on numerous occasions to cease her training endeavors, but she refused."
