Allu Arjun's much-anticipated film 'Pushpa 2' is ready to hit the big screen, yet it stirs chaos before its official release. Eager fans are excited to catch the movie, with shows scheduled as early as 3 AM. The Kannada Film Producers Association has raised a complaint with the Bengaluru District Commissioner over this.
The association argues that by law, no film should be shown before 6 AM in theaters. Despite this, 'Pushpa 2' shows have been scheduled for 3 AM. Moreover, the ticket pricing has sparked further concern, with prices set at 500, 1000, and 1500 rupees, which are also against regulations. They demand necessary action against the film's makers.
The Bengaluru District Commissioner has addressed a letter to the Police Commissioner. It states that according to Rule 41, no license is given for shows before 6:30 AM or after 10:30 PM. 'Book My Show' listings show mini theaters breaking these laws, and a list of offending theaters has been provided for further action.
Amidst this, a video from Hyderabad's Sandhya Theater has started gaining traction on social media. Rumors suggested that superstar Allu Arjun was about to visit the theater for a special screening of 'Pushpa 2'. This prompted a massive crowd of fans to gather outside. To control the overwhelming crowd, the police had to resort to baton charge, evident of the massive fan frenzy for Allu Arjun and his film. It's expected that the movie will achieve huge earnings right from day one.
According to an India Today report, the ticket prices for 'Pushpa 2' have set a new high for Telugu films in the state. Scheduled for a December 5 release in theaters, special preview shows will commence in Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday, December 4, at 9:30 PM. Ticket prices for these shows in both single screens and multiplexes have been set at 944 rupees (including GST).
The Andhra Pradesh government has sanctioned six shows per day for 'Pushpa 2' on its release date in both single screens and multiplexes. Ticket prices will be 324.50 rupees for single screens and 413 rupees for multiplexes. From December 6 to 17, theaters can run five daily shows at the same ticket rate. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana hold crucial importance for Allu Arjun and the Telugu film industry.
Telangana has also approved increased ticket prices for 'Pushpa 2'. The premier show tickets in Telangana for Wednesday are priced at 1200 rupees, with post-release rates at 354 rupees for single screens and 531 rupees for multiplexes. Allu Arjun has expressed gratitude to the Andhra Pradesh government for allowing the ticket price increase for 'Pushpa 2'.
