As soon as the police received the information, they arrived at the location, took the body down, and sent it for post-mortem. It is reported that the body was two-to-three days old and had begun to emit a foul odor. The deceased's family suspects murder, while the police are investigating the case from both murder and suicide angles.
The deceased has been identified as Gurmeet Singh. Reports suggest he had an affair with a woman from his village, Aulakh, whose husband lives in Dubai. The police have registered a case and have started the investigation.
