Pune Porsche Car Case:
Early morning of May 19 following a ghastly Porsche car accident in Pune, a clandestine deal was struck. On one end were the family members of the underage accused, and on the other, doctors from Sasoon Hospital. During this covert operation, the accused's family made 15 secret phone calls to negotiate a 'clean chit' for the boy from allegations of intoxication. Unbeknownst to them, the police were prepared with a backup plan to crack this secret deal. Let's take you through every shocking twist of that morning's agreement!
Under the Table Deal
The city of Pune woke up to chaos on May 19, around the scene of a Porsche car crushing two innocents like a 'bloody monster'. The debate of the incident was everywhere, the heart-wrenching photos were dominating the news. Amidst this turmoil was a man in Pune, busily brokering an 'under the table' deal with the father of the underage accused, tempting him with money, bidding on his loyalty, constantly upping his demands.
The Conspiracy to Change Blood Samples
According to the Pune Crime Branch, this person was none other than the head of the Sassoon General Hospital's Forensic Medicine Department, Dr. Ajay Tawade, who plotted with the accused boy's father to change his blood samples. With the help of two subordinates, they succeeded. However, they were unaware that the investigating Pune police had developed a backup plan, which exposed Dr. Tawade's scheme.

15 Folder Conversations with Dr. Tawade
Sources in the Crime Branch say that on the date of the accident, as the news became widespread and the juvenile offender was taken into custody, his family became proactive in attempting to save their 'little one'. The father of the accused made a call to Dr. Tawade through an acquaintance, which was followed by constant discussions to settle the matter. Would you believe that between 8:30 am and 10:40 am on that day, there were a total of 15 conversations between the accused's father and Dr. Tawade? One call was a regular call, while all others were made via FaceTime. When the truth about the blood sample switch came to light and the investigation progressed, this concealed game was also exposed.
The Axe Falls on Two Doctors
The family of the accused attempted to hack the entire system, which is now becoming a significant burden not only on the accused and his family but also on those who, for the tinkling of coins, are willing to subvert the system from within. Dr. Shrihari Halnor, who changed the blood sample in return for a bribe, was removed from his job, while stern action is being written to the Directorate of Medical Education and Research against Dr. Tawade, the kingpin of the conspiracy. So far, the police have arrested two doctors and a departmental peon, all charged with changing blood samples for money.
Bribery Through a Peon
Investigation has revealed that the accused's father paid 3 lakh rupees for the scheme, which the doctors eventually divided amongst themselves. It has been discovered that the two subordinates – Dr. Halnor and the department's peon – had originally taken 2.5 lakhs and 50 thousand each. Dr. Tawade received a separate bribe, the amount of which the police have yet to ascertain. The police have recovered the 3 lakh from Dr. Halnor's house and from an employee named Amit at the hospital. However, Dr. Tawade is yet to disclose the amount he received as a bribe.

Questions Raised Over Medical Report
The conspiracy of changing the blood sample was unveiled when the juvenile accused's medical report surfaced after a long wait. According to the report, there were no traces of alcohol in the minor's blood, despite CCTV footage showing him and his friends drinking in a bar and multiple witnesses attesting to his inebriated state post-accident. Further investigation confirmed the blood sample taken at Sassoon Hospital had been switched.
Government Forms Inquiry Committee
In fact, because of the doubts, the police also had a second sample collected from Aundh Hospital after the first sample was taken at Sassoon. The DNA from the Aundh Hospital sample matched that of the boy's father, unlike the sample from Sassoon Hospital, which clearly indicated that the sample had been tampered with. This evidence tightened the noose around the doctors, and an inquiry committee of three members was formed by the government to investigate the fraud at Sassoon Hospital.
Revelation of a Scheme to Frame the Driver
The crime branch's investigation has gathered more evidence that could further incriminate the juvenile offender and his family. Further questioning of two frien...
