In a momentous push for the nation's infrastructure, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday through video conferencing green-lighted the construction and refurbishment of 1500 road over bridges and underpasses across 554 railway stations. This grand transformation, costing 41 thousand crores, is part of the visionary Amrit Bharat Station scheme.
Madhya Pradesh's Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav expressed his gratitude to PM Modi for the redevelopment of over 33 railway stations within the state. He highlighted that under the Prime Minister's leadership, there is a whopping 77 thousand crores' worth of construction work underway in the state. Madhya Pradesh is continuously expanding its railway facilities and adopting new technology, moving towards world-class railway infrastructure.
Paving the Way Toward a Strong and Capable State Under the Double-Engine Government
CM Dr. Mohan Yadav emphasized that with a dual-governance system, Madhya Pradesh is steering down the tracks of development at high speed. Strategically positioned, the state is ripe for railway infrastructure development and is accelerating plans like the Sehore and Ramganj Mandi-Budhni rail lines. This momentum will further propel the state's evolution toward achieving its ambition of becoming a powerful and proficient state.
Development Ahead for These Cities as Twin Cities
CM Yadav announced that alongside the upliftment of industry and employment, schemes are being rolled out for the advancement of women, youth, and the underprivileged. With ample funding for these schemes, the cities of Bhopal and Sehore will collectively progress as twin cities, bringing seamless transport, residential projects, and job opportunities. Twin city development schemes for Ujjain-Indore, Ujjain-Dewas, Bhopal-Vidisha, and Bhopal-Sehore-Raisen are being envisioned up to the year 2047.
The Redevelopment of 33 Railway Stations Including Indore, Ujjain, Jabalpur, Khandwa, and Sehore
In a significant development strategy, CM Dr. Mohan Yadav unveiled plaques for the redevelopment of railway stations across the state. PM Modi inaugurated the groundwork of 133 road over bridges (ROBs) and underpasses for the redevelopment of 33 stations, further eliminating manned level crossings and enhancing the safety and smooth operation of the rail network.
