A doctor from the orthopedic department at Swarup Rani Nehru Hospital (SRN) in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, committed suicide inside his parked car. Other doctors at the hospital informed the police. Upon investigation, the police found that the doctor had injected himself with a Neuvac injection, leading to his death. The police have taken the body into custody and sent it for postmortem. The exact cause of death will be known only after the postmortem report. Prima facie, the case appears to be a suicide.

Doctor Kartikeya was from Haridwar
According to information, Dr. Kartikeya Srivastava, who was from Haridwar, worked in the orthopedic department at Swarup Rani Nehru Hospital. His blue car was parked in the hospital's parking lot late at night. When other doctors reached the parking lot to leave for home, they saw Dr. Kartikeya lying dead in the driver’s seat of his car. They immediately informed other doctors at the hospital.
Upon receiving the information, several police officers, including DCP City, and the SOG team arrived at the scene. The deceased doctor’s body was removed from the car and sent for postmortem. During a search of the car, an empty vial of Neuvac injection and a needle were found on the adjacent seat, suggesting that the doctor had injected himself. However, the exact cause of death will only be revealed after the postmortem report.

Police Investigating the Cause of Death
DCP City Abhishek Bharti stated that the doctor’s body was recovered from his car. Prima facie, the case looks like a suicide. The reasons behind it will be known only after a thorough investigation. Notably, Swarup Rani Nehru Hospital is the largest hospital in the Prayagraj division and treats patients from neighboring cities. Dr. Kartikeya was part of the orthopedic department, and according to his colleagues, there was no apparent reason for him to take such a step.
