Hailing from Jamethi, Kunda, 24-year-old Shivam Singh was detained at Manikpur police station for theft questioning since October 17. His family claimed he was taken five days prior without information, leaving his mother searching aimlessly.
This morning, Shivam used a sharp implement to injure his throat while in lockup, causing panic among the police. Swift actions led to his treatment at Raebareli AIIMS, where he is reportedly stable.
